There have been some changes recently with the CPR guidelines. Every five years, ILCOR, the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation meets and discusses the new trends and research on CPR. American Heart Association, along with other associations, play an important role in the decision making for changes every five years. The last meeting was in 2010, in which there were some major but expected changes. It is important to take a look at the in-depth Free CPR course on this site. While the changes are different, the concept is much more simplistic and intuitive.

CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation; the act of providing artificial circulation and respiration to someone in cardiac arrest.
